Since Spikes (Ion) start reviewing cards from the latest Extension Booster, I would do the same thing. This time, we finally rotate to Blue (next card review, I promised WILL be a White card) and looking at "the chase Rare" in the set.
First, let's look at the cost/stats of this card. As like all the other Zeta Gundams, this card cost 5, have the stats of 4/2/4. It's very normal for a Blue Unit, of course, the power is no match to Units from Wing/SEED. Of course, this type of "Super Weapon" works in both Space and Earth...nothing there.
Now, let's look at the keyword texts of this card. Prevent(5) is...well, kind of low for a Blue Unit, but it stops any type of Counters against this card outside of the ones that don't care about Prevent. This card can also transform to the Waverider, gained HM and Atmosphere Invasion, but lost the "crazy" effect...but this is nice way to either HM opponent or just defend against HM.
Why I included "defend"? This card's first effect may not be very long, but it's powerful. Basically, if opponent dare to attack you, this card Rerolls for you, simple as that. Nothing to stop Ring? Now you automatically have one (whether you want to trade this Unit is another question). Want to eat fewer damages? Here's one...
OK, not only that, but it help this card's second effect. The second effect is the "Freedom" effect: recover your Nation equal to the amount you dealt. The difference to Freedom is one, this effect only counts this card's detachment, not all 3 Areas, two is this effect works while defending, and last is it counts the damages deal EVEN TO UNITS (to the amount dealt. Like if this Unit would battle with an Unit with 2 defense, only 2 damages are dealt, and thus your Nation is recover by 2).
Now if that's not enough, Blue have enough crazy character to boost this card's stats. Two good ones is Set 14 Camille (to protect against this card ever being destroy), or EB Astoriage (which works pretty much with ANYTHING).
RATING: 9.2/10 - Parallel/elegant effects, great flavor, scream to be put into a Blue Medium (good for attack AND defense). The only cons of this card is its stats, but that apply to majority of the 4 to 5 drop Blue Units in this game. If only you find some way to protect this card from being destroy, opponent may never get to see the day of getting your Nation being dealt damage.
