Sorry for not much review. Just being lazy and slacking off...
So, easy, since I had not done any Set 17 reviews yet, why not start with the "card" (not really, there're 2) that create the name of the set?
Anyway, let's start with the flavor. Master Gundam is of course from G Gundam, and used by nobody but the Master: Master Asia (a.k.a. Toho Fuhai). The attacks? Well, Juuni Ouhouhai (See C-G8), Choukyuu Haou Den'eidan (See C-G9), the Darkness Finger. The last, it's the Master Cloth...but none of the attack make sense with the effects of this card.
So what's that? Well, the supernaturalness of Master Asia. He's the Master...
OK, let's talk about the stats/cost. This card is a 6 cost Unit with the based stats of 5/0/5 (or 7/0/7 + the character stats). In terms of based stats, 5 attack and 5 defense is normal. Well, 0 shooting? Who shoot with a MELEE machine? Of course, the stats after having a character is always scary: but that's the case for any G Gundams.
Now let's look at the effect. It have the standard Prevent(9) effect (it's only "close" to be uncounterable, outside of the Space Ruler). It's a Fighter...so it have [MF]. At last, there's the "Sect" effect. Well, all that does is make you put in some "situational" card right now (because there's just NOT enough Toho Fuhai card!)
Now let's look at the special text. The first effect is the protection of this card. As said, he's the Master, he cannot be touch by those "cheap" stuff. 4 is of course because of Domou + Shining Gundam. This effect is very nice against those cheap Green Burns, some Black Removals, all Red Bounce...just not much way to remove it. Well, there're some, like the Postlude, the Gottraltan, the behated Intimidation...but with so much "Gundam" hate now (people are MAINDECKING cards that work against "Gundam"), this effect is really nice.
The second effect is basically "Antarctican Treaty", of course, strengthen of it. One is it only work against OPPONENT, two is it count both Junkyard. Opponent have just fewer way to remove this card...or stop any of your cards once this hit the field.
RATING: 9.2/10 - This card's effect are great...VERY great. Why only 9.2? One is this card is a freaking 6-cost card, which works very bad with the most "combo" card with MF (the two resets: Postlude and Intimidation). However, it does not mean this card cannot be used for that reason. This card alone can win the game...with a character, of course. Otherwise, just a great, if not powerful enough...Unit. Oh yeah...there's always "Kowloon Gundam" (from Ext. Booster)
