Card Review #13

Card Number/Card Name: PMX-001 Pallas Athena (U-106 Black)
Cost: 2-5-2
Areas: S/E
Stats:4/4/4

Effect: (Auto B): When this card comes into play, put X Ammo Counter on this card. The value X is the same as the number of your G.
(Defense Step):<<0 Each>> When this card is in the battle area, remove one Ammo Counter on this card. At this time, one of your opponent's Unit card gets +0/+0/-1 until the end of turn.

Well, it's time for another guest review by Spikes (Since Baron is too lazy anyway...)

Pallas Athena, piloted by AEUG "traitor" Reccoa Londo in late Gryps War, is another Scirocco hand-made unit. As people can see from Zeta Gundam, Scirocco-made MS are always powerful, which means, this card should be the same thing also.

To begin, 2-5-2 is one of those mid-to-high cost. But since requiring 5 NPs usually means a powerful unit, what you get? A unit with the stats of 4/4/4.

4 attack strength is expected as a 5-cost unit (Since some 4-cost unit already have 4 attack strength), but 4 shooting is nothing to laugh at. Most 5-cost unit have 2-3 shooting, but 4? That's nothing funny. 4 Defense is average, again, as a 5-cost unit.

Now, look at the effect, this card gains X Ammo Counter depending on number of Gs you have. That means that this card should get at least 5 counters (Since you need 5 Gs to play this card anyway).

What're those counters for? Well, since this IS a Black Unit, most likely it hurts opponent. By using some ammos, you can reduced the defense strength of opponent's Units. Noticed that you can remove and target any opponent's Unit you want, so, you can certainly reduced the defense of like 2-3 Units (So you can kill them...)

RATING: 8.7/10: This effect isn't any game-turning, but, as a more mid-cost Black Unit (Since all of them require a high cost), the effect is quite good. Most people compare this card to U-71 Gabthley. To me, both have its strength and weakness, so, I can't say which one is really better.
