Article 7: Soul of the Player

Long time no article, right?

With the recent release of the new Japanese pack (for those who don't know...Soul of the Duelist, aka SOD), and with the end of school year for me (yay!!), I finally could get back to the Yu-Gi-Oh game more (well...if you look closely, my updates on the site have been declined by far since Mid-April, and really, I have NOT pull a booster pack for at least 4 months now...). Now...is that all I will talk about...well...just some introduction.

Anyway, as you look at the title, this article is mostly about the new set. Well, my first reaction to this new set (before release) was one that "finally, the Japanese game got more new card that the English game have to catch up!!" (and speak with my atitude bias toward Japanese game superiority over the English game). Well, all I could say when I look at the picture is: It didn't disappointed me. Well, as I look, I see 11 Ultimates. Anyone would say..."Is Konami getting crazy???" Well...new series, new type of releasing card. Also, there's is NO Secret Rare or Parallel Rare in this set.

One thing I like about the booster is first, the rare ratio change 100%. WHAT I MEAN? A guarantee Rare each pack (out of 5!!), and in packs with Super Rare, it ALSO contain a Rare. Well, the next thing I like? Dragon boost!! Finally, as long anticipated, more 4-star Dragons (by the way...for those peoples who complain...Fire deck got boost too, especially the crazy Baseball player...)

As to card type analysis, I come up with following:
1. LV cards (theme)
2. Sub-Type summoning boost
3. Anti-Drawing
4. Weenie boost
5. REBD
6. General Game cards: mostly Magic/Trap

Then...I would finally, complied a list of card I feel useful:

1. Horus BFD deck (#1 deck type)

6. Ojama King deck (yes...annoying!!)
7. Master of Oz deck (powerful...)

And the following deck get a boost:
1. Water deck
2. Insect deck
3. Normal Dragon deck (yes...it work now!!)
4. Side deck of ANY deck
