Article 41: Perfect Enemy

After a long damn bus ride, I'm finally back to my dorm and can finally write this article.

As usual, this article would talk about my first impression on the new set.

Card Trends and theme:
Like any sets after TLM, this set contained a BUNCH of GX anime cards. This time, there're total 29 cards, with the following:
D-Hero x4/D-Hero Support x5 (9)
3x Asuka monsters + 2x Kaiser's monsters (5)
Crappy E-Hero Fusions x5 (5)
Misfortune (1)
HERO Flash (5)
Guard Penalty, Grand Cross, Macrocosmo, Elemental Charge (3)

In addition, there're some Angels in the set. And to make sure SD8 only have 3 new cards, there're bunch of "filler" Bird monsters and supports.

As for old cycles coming back, this set gives the "Auntie Lolita Mages" and a new Batteryman.

As for new cycles...
1. D-Hero is introduce. Don't worry about they don't have any cards, you would see a LOT more later...
2. Lightning Gears, monsters that just Flash out and die

As for old cards having "new" version:
1. Victory Viper XX03 (Vic Viper/Gradius/Option)
2. Harpy Pet Baby Dragon (Harpy Pet Dragon)
3. Bringer of Sparking Light (Bringer of Light)
4. Destiny Signal (Hero Signal)

At last, there're bunch of cards that are related to remove any cards sending to Graveyard from game.

Deck Types:
It's time to discuss about any new deck types: fun or what-not...
- D-Hero
- XX03/Battleship
- Lightning Gear
- Counter-Angels
- Primeval Sun/"Alchemy" deck
- "Auntie" Lolita Mage Abuse (splash...)

For deck types that get boosts:
- E-Hero (I just have to put this first...it's STILL not Tier 1!)
- Machine (Cyber Dragon, Battleship, or anything)
- Stall Warrior (like Clown Control)
- Bird sub-type (including Harpy Lady themed)
- Angel
- Batteryman/Thunder sub-type
- RFG beats/control/Aggro-Control/themed
- Reversed World (XD)
- Anti Yomi-Lion-Emperor/Recruiter/MPT deck

USEFUL CARDS:
As obvious, we would now look at the useful (not necessary GREAT!!) cards that I believe could be consider to add to deck (no matter theme or every decks...). It goes down from the cardlist.

This is it for my first look at the set. Of course, since this set have so much stuff for me to talk about, there would indeed more articles on specific themes.

But now, we have to choose the worst card of this set...

(Drumroll): Guard Dog: What could it do...and does it even matter if it got the reverse effect to be activate?
