Article 20: The Eternal Game

As I do in every new set release, I would talk about the same thing over and over for the new sets: Foresee New Deck Type, Deck Type boost, and useful cards.

But I would not stop here this time...just I will talk about the new system of Konami releases a little bit afterward.

Deck Types:
As like each other Yu-Gi-Oh set after SC, it have a specific theme of cards. From SC "sub-type boost", the 300s series "obvious name/archtype boost", to now, a little by little boost of everything.

Konami had done a better and better job when releasing new set: cards would not be crazily broken (except [Lightning Vortex] in this set), but yet they would help the deck that "lack of the 2 cards".

The theme of this booster is NOT Fire, as does many people think. This set boost Beast sub-type, as really the only main theme of this set (Phoneix God is not a theme, it is basically the "main card"). 9 out of 36 monsters in this set is Beast sub-type. However, one funny thing is, most of the Beasts have very low attack, as does Beasts are usually "huge".

As also, this set have many anime/manga original. [Naked Gearfreed]/[Restraint Removal] (Jou), [Sage - Keiroon] (Noa), [Magic Absorption] (Kaiba), and at last, [Lightning Vortex] and [Death Meteor] of Controlled Jou.

At last, the LV series almost came to end: no new [LV] monster in this set, only continue series of [Silent Swordsman] and [Ultimate Insect]. And at last, 2 more Fusion monster and a little more and one more Emperor and the completion of Elements series.

NOW, let's talk about the new deck types little bit:
- Beast sub-type deck (Aggro/Weenie)
- Silent Swordsman deck
- Phoneix God theme deck
- Gatling Dragon ownage deck
- As always...you can always create your own deck

For deck types that get boosts:
- Spellcaster Viral/Demon Viral
- Gearfreed Control
- Gearfreed/Eruma Loop deck
- Warrior Equipment
- Primal
- Insect (...not really...just a 1900 beatstick...)
- Mystic Swordsman deck
- Burner (a little bit...)
- Rock deck/Defensive Staller
- Some fusion deck
- OTK/FTK deck
- Last but not least...Gaia deck...

As obvious, we would now look at the useful cards that I believe could be consider to add to deck (no matter theme or every decks...). It goes down from the cardlist.
- Phoneix God of Nepthyus (this card have the potential of being good)
- Silent Swordsman LV5
- Matatabi Cat
- Blood Magician - Magician of Purgatory -
- Sage - Keiroon
- Swordsmaster - Naked Gearfreed
- Sentry Golem
- Brain Jacker
- Lightning Vortex
- Death Meteor
- Goblin Managment Expert

THE worst card in the set: Elemental Burst (impossible to pull off...)

Konami:
As you see on the future releasing list, Konami have gone crazy and release millions of products at once. NOW, the reason, of course, is Yu-Gi-Oh is back on its track of popularity.

Konami, of course, have copy many things off the "father of card games" Magic: the Gathering. This include, the World Championship, the new Themed Structure deck, and, the "level" system (Expert/Beginners/etc.)

So, you may see they're doing better?? Those would help this game, of course (no matter how bad the Structures would be...they have many rare cards reprinted), like the price of playing this game finally gone down more, and a little for everyone (beginners would have better deck to start with, collectors would have the 11 Ultimates each set to get, and the normal players have better sets).

I'm kind of happy for Konami finally realize their mistake in the first place and help this game to be better.

LONG live this game, and the future?? Just like Magic, little and little and consistant.
