Article 13: Rise of more Separation OK, long time no article from me, right?? (Voice: QUIT being lazy, you, I want more out of this site!!) Anyway, as by my "trend" of writing an analyzation of a new pack whenever they're release...this time, I would do the SAME thing...separate yet again to 2 parts: Deck Types and Useful Cards. Deck Types from this set: This set got yet 3 more LV monsters...well, it's normal, if they don't have it...where would cards like [Mystic Swordsman LV6] be release?? Well, from this set's release, I would now guess that Konami want to release the LV monsters in DIFFERENT set, so, they could make people buy new sets, and proof that this theme is not a "dead theme" like Guardian or Chess Demons. Also, it seems to be a trend of Konami to just "stop making powerful Light/Dark card and boost other Main type" to stop the Chaos craze...oh well, they just don't know the best thing to do to stop it is banning them... Now, after talking about the theme, it's time for the deck types: And the following deck types get SOME boost (or...a LOT): After talking about the deck types, it's time to move onto my list of "what I think would be useful" in this set: My second topic of today is...yet another view on the difference between OCG and TCG. I should NOT have to discuss this, Konami DID do a BAD JOB on "unite the game". Although now they realize their mistake and try to correct it (look at PP7, and the upcoming SOD), still, there's two separate environment. I have been to huge argument over at another Yu-Gi-Oh forum about the OCG player feeling supremacy over TCG players. All I would say here is...this is a FACT...and here's my reasoning: Flame me all you want, I don't care, but WHY this is happening? Is this happening over at TCG?? No. Yu-Gi-Oh is not a game that boost "original mind", since really, there could not be much new deck types from a set of 60 cards. BUT, from those "little" deck types, there's always new ideas, right?? Yeah, that's is what suppose to be, EXCEPT that, this game, like EVERY OTHER CARD GAME OUT THERE, would have cards that is more powerful than others, have a deck type that is always "better" than the others in general. When a deck type is powerful, people want to play it, just to?? WIN, duh...You see, even in the World Championship, WHY it is Chaos v. Chaos?? Because, Chaos deck, no doubt, is the most powerful deck type out in the game right now (no matter what you say...no matter how much "anti-Chaos" cards you have...). When people PLAY TO WIN, they would use the most powerful, even they could be original at casual. The problem with this game is, MAJORITY of the player just "play to win", not "play for fun". So, when a deck type dominate, people would just know how to build THAT specific type of deck, but COULD NOT THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX for more original idea. Really, it's rare to see a "TCG exclusive deck type that comes out of mind of TCG player that was NEVER been think of in OCG", nope, that NEVER happen. So, supremacy?? Yes...if Konami keep releasing cards like this, it would just cause "separation", not "unite". This would do my crazy article. |
