Article 1: The sadness of metagame.

I really mean it...

Well, you may ask me a question, "WHAT, how the game is sad for you?"

My answer, the game is too sorry and some player are way way too sorry.

Now, English is going to release IoC in March, and it's only 2 sets trailing after Japanese games. But WHY the English game is still looks lacking a lot of variety??

First, as most English player would say, English game lack promos. YES, it lacks promo, and KoA/UDE are releasing the promo way way too slow. BUT, that's not an excuse at all for not being able to build a good deck!

First, Yu-Gi-Oh, for real, unlike other TCG, is really hard to start. First, the starter is just piece of bullshit, and I am hoping Evolution Starter would be better.

Then, they stop printing old sets (LOB - LON), guess what? 99% of the staples for a deck come from those 5 sets (10 sets in Japanese). Really, LOD or Struggle of Chaos (SC) is the first real boost for different decks in this game.

Then about Deck Types??

I don't see people why only using few types of decks...there're A BUNCH of cards, yes, A BUNCH, out there...just use your brain and create a DECK!!

What I see in English game?? Hybrid (Beatdown) Control, Old Fashion Beatdown (a.k.a. Mindness Beatdown), the SAME Control deck built by Ng Yu Liang, Burn...WHY?? That's all for the game?? NO...I am just surprise when people realized "Oh my god...Warrior Decks are killing me!!". OMFG myself...and that's just before MFC came out!! People only realized that type of deck?? Then guess what?? Everyone follow...Warrior Deck die...then Control (Hand-D) again...etc.

With the emergence of Chaos Monsters in next sets (IoC), I see A LOT of people trying to built a Chaos Deck. I can told you RIGHT HERE - IT WON'T WORK!! The messengers don't work the way you think it will. Just as one of my friend said "Once the Chaos Messengers are released, the game will be Chaos, everyone using trash Light/Dark Monster and just depend on the Messengers". That's why the deck is TRASH...you can't depend on two restricted cards, just like you can't depend on drawing Raigeki or Dark Hole next turn!!!! It's sad that I saw bunch of trash decks out there b/c of those two monsters. If you can't use it, don't bother to add it into your deck. It won't help you, IT HURT YOU MORE!! Plus, the lack of good light monster (well...Blade Knight is one) really hurt the deck type more.

Then on rarity. Every time a booster is release, I want to yell at KoA/UDE on their decision on the rarity. EVERY good card had become Ultra Rare or more, or at least from Common to Super Rare. They Shortprint some common that are good. Then people waste money buying booster, get NO good card as usual (unless you're that lucky...), then buy, buy, buy...well, WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
